Lego Carbon Racers: Lavender Leader

The original Lego Tiny Turbos line never made a motorcycle, so I guess it's up to me. Meet the Lavender Leader--simultaneously one of the most unique and the smallest Carbon Racer I've made!

This isn't my first motorcycle, of course; that would be the Dark Grey Defender. However, that one also had a sidecar, and motorcycles don't have sidecars more often than they do, so this version really had to be created.

Those rear tires remind me of a concept motorcycle I saw pictures of when I was a kid. What was it called again? Oh right, the Dodge Tomahawk. Why wasn't that ever made street-legal and mass-produced? It so would've hastened our progress into a cyberpunk future.

I'll bet it wouldn't be too difficult to mod this model so a minifig can ride it. I'll see if I can outline how in the blueprint coming up.

Hmm . . . looking at these first few steps, that idea I had for making this model a minifig-fitting ride won't work. Once again, I'll leave it up to you people to make the modifications yourself, and then send me pictures of the finished product.

If you want a headlight, you could replace that sloped piece in Step 7 with a translucent one.

Front's done, moving to the back . . .

You know, the Bricklink Studio program I use to make these renderings and blueprints seemed rather allergic to combining the wheel and tire in Step 12. Maybe I'm just using it wrong.

If there are technically three wheels, does this make the Lavender Leader a tricycle? (The answer: No, and I don't care if you say it does.)

Like I said, the Lavender Leader has a short blueprint, but it doesn't skimp on style! The next model coming up is going to be a longer post, though, because it's back to the classic Tiny Turbos style, although the model incorporates . . . rearview mirrors.
